The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk first flew in 1938, and saw combat in World War 2 from 1941 onwards. Also known as the P-40 Tomahawk, it’s famous for the Shark Mouth Nose Art it often wore. The P-40 excelled as an air superiority aircraft, and served with distinction in the CBI Theater with the Flying Tigers 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG).
